hotrodbanshee
Thinking bout switching from stock carbs to 28 pwk's. Will the thumb throttle be much stiffer to push with the pwk's?
James_21
I don't think you will see much of a difference going to 28mm carbs imo. Is your motor stock? What stuff has been done to your bike?
locogato11283
Stick with stock. No reason to buy 28s.

hotrodbanshee
Hjr dune port, t5's, noss head 19cc, vf3's, kn pods, 6 degree timing advance, lightened flywheel.would I be better off with 33mm pwk's? Just don't want to loose bottom end. I don't think you will see much of a difference going to 28mm carbs imo. Is your motor stock? What stuff has been done to your bike? 04_blu_shee
My build is bout same as yours I run 33 PWK bottom end is still decent. Id say go with 35 PWK for future bigger build...I wish I would have done this.
Paulie B
FAST sells the easy throttle springs if you need.
Coupelx
You match the carbs to the engine. Not buy bigger for future plans. I love my 28pwks but if you have the stockers dialed in run them
04_blu_shee
Im running 33 PWK on my dune ported bike that Brent Schimmer Dirt Works from Grand Island Ne. he said with the port work I could run ## or 35 PWK and he also said if I was going bigger with my build to go and buy the 35 s. Hell I understand that a 38 or bigger would be way too big but with a ported bike those carbs b . eing jetted right which is very easy will pull and run strong
jscharphorn
I picked up a set of 28's because I thought they would be a power improvment, my stockers are working nice. and doing some searches I find this thread and some say stick with the stockers. I just ordered a set of V force 4 reeds, I have a billet intake not installed yet, no major mods to engine yet other then pipes and pods. I plan to do the +4 timing real soon and then maybe port , crank, heads next year. Should I just stick with the stockers and sell the 28's or just use them ? Do the 28's use the same throttle cable ? I would rather have low - mid range power then top end speed. I have 13/41 sprockets
