mailman Posted December 31, 2012 Report Share Posted December 31, 2012 I have a small leak in the sidewall of my SLS paddle tire. What is the best way, other than a new tire, to repair this. I tried a little slime and it worked well until I ran the bike, then it started leaking again. I have heard that a tube is ok but the tire pressure must be high which isn't what I want for drag racing. Any luck with tire patches? The tire stores say they won't do it. lms1977 Posted December 31, 2012 Report Share Posted December 31, 2012 We run skat trac paddles in the coal and put holes in thw side wall a lot we either put a plug in them or patch the inside. mailman Posted January 3, 2013 Author Report Share Posted January 3, 2013 I got the vulcanizing glue from Napa and a large rubber patch. It worked great and is holding air with no leaks.
