banshee07
K so the rev box will work on a banshee? I have a 4mill 400cc shee and I want to be able to just hold it pinned wether it be racing or just ripping on the road and not have to worry about it over revving. Wat model can I use that will be best? I don't need launch control. Just more ov a limiter so I don't blow my crank again. If so can it be powered off the factory charging system. I will want to run it all the time. Thanks jeremy
J-Madd
So i So is using launch control better than just pining it and dumpin the clutch? Why?
J-Madd
Maybe for bracket racing or for a turbo. No advantage in heads up, imo.
SlowerThanYou
We use it for all types of racing & when tuned well, it works. There's tuning involved with the rev limiter itself & with other areas to make it work well. I will discuss some areas, but not other's. J-Madd
NO one at the big sand races besides sn(h)omos and turbo bikes run them. Well, I actually do know 1 guy (David Stell) that runs a rev limiter. He just likes the consistency.

Nieskes
Wouldn't a 2 step rev be more effective?
SlowerThanYou
Wouldn't a 2 step rev be more effective? It takes a lot of work/tuning to get them to 60' & for consistency. It can also be your enemy with both. Switch needs to be adjusted right, rpm settings, clutch set-up, carb set-up changes to name the main things. I probably forgot a couple. If your referring to the high side limiter, that can be used in certain racing situations also; like Index & Bracket.
