ric-ross1
Im sure its been covered before but i cant find exactly how many turn on the screws etc. I just rebuild the carbs that came with my bike and i want to know how many turns the bolts have to go for my right mods, i have stock carbs, fmf fatty pipes, fmf silencers, welded crank, pro plate with k&n filter no lid, stock bore hone and new rings/pistons,no porting, stock head, running on 93 gas. What I'm not sure about is how many rounds in or out of the acrews and the position of the neddle. thanks
possum
the air screw and needle adjustment adjust off of the jetting itself. although air screw will be 1-2 turns out with proper pilot. and needle u can start in the middle.. then fine tune later.. go read up on how to jet first
possum
thats if it wasnt jetted right but if it was. start at middle clip. 1-2 turns out. and play with it from there
ric-ross1
i rebuild the carbs with the new stuff but there are like 2 big screws you can adjust, so im not sure exactly if i go all the way in then work my way out or viseversa. possum
im assuming its the side idle screw and the lower one is the air screw. ok for tge air screw go all the way in lightly then 1 turn out. and for the idle screw, tighten till it lifts the slide a lil. thats the starting point. then start the bike and adjust from there
