hoppedupandcutdown
I've noticed most aftermarket right side foot pegs don't have the stop for the kicker to hit. Is it not needed or is there some internal mod that would need to be done?
locogato11283
You will be fine with out it. Hit up Richie Petty or JDS for pegs.
bansheesandrider
Banshees did not have a stop on the footpeg until they added the factory footguards, in 1991 I believe. They put the stop on the peg so the kicker did not hit the footguard. On the bikes that did not come with footguards the kicker was stopped by the internal stop inside the clutch cover at a much lower point than where the footguards were eventually mounted. My 89 that I bought brand new off the showroom floor did not have ANY stop on the footpeg. Your picture looks like somebody mickey moused a stop onto those aftermarket pegs. I would put up a picture of how mine used to be but I've moved my pegs back and down and I don't have any old pictures of the pegs.

BigRed350x
I welded a kick-start stopper onto my IMS pegs. Kept trying to break my toes when the kicker would extend down past the footpeg. Not sure why these aftermarket companies dont put the stop on there.

I am going to do the same thing.
locogato11283
I am glad mine don't have a stop. It makes kicking the big motors all the way through easier. Stop riding in flip flops Jared.

Why couldn't you just put the stop further down?
locogato11283
I've never even thought about it. I just don't see the point of it at all.
