I was looking at getting a billet intake and there are alot of different ones to choose from. Just wondering if anyone has anyone has any advice on a brand to stay away from or a brand that has worked relly good. By the wy ive got 33mm carbs and vforce3s. Any help would be appreciated.

I went from Upp to my boss one piece intake. I would do it again. It is nice to not have the carb hit the clutch arm. I use 10 deg angled 6" K&N pods. If your trying to keep the air box it will probably be to tight of a fit.

Since you have vforce 3 reeds I would go for one that has a round opening on the reed side. Then port the vforce reed insert to match. The boss intake has a big square opening in the back. I use the cascade reed stuffers with my Vforce 3's.

i ran the Boss intake as well Jbooker, and after replacing the cheapo rubber boots and sealing it with motoseal,to worked fine. When i switched to the UPP intakes ,i was worried about clutch arm clearance, but they ended up clearing just fine.

I guess it just bugged me to pay 100+ bux for an intake THEN have to "fix" it with new rubber boots and use sealant on it. But all-in -all it not a BAD piece ,,,,,,its just a piece. haha

Mine came with genuine Mikuni Boots. I have herd that some of them dont. Like I said I propbably would get a white knuckel racing intake with the cross hairs and a round opening in the back since he is running Vforce 3's. That way the intake shape matches the reed shape.

I just fitted a set of these Pro-Design intakes. Very clean looking and no crossover. They came with genuine Mikuni flange adaptors. No cleaarance issues with the clutch arm, however running the stock airbox makes it very tight. I had to cut 1/4" off the front two pipes on the airbox and trim about the same off the back of the rubber adaptors then push them as far on as I could get them and clamp them in place. Pretty happy with how they turned out though, I don't think anything will come adrift.
