new to banshees is this a good banshee?

Recommended Posts

he said it needs nothing and will take 4k for it.I kno the price deffinitey isnt the best but its the only one in the cincy/kentucky area I can find that seems to be build well without being a full out drag bike.If anyone knows of anything else for sale within 100 or so miles of 45005 let me know.any opinions would be appreiciated thanks in advance

This seller just raised the bar on stupid to a whole new level. "this quad it is retarted fast with top speed over 150 trade for super nice slower banshee"

This guy's a little bit of an idiot, and it's an old ad, but it's worth looking into.

I was wondering how that was a 475cc I dont know shit about banshees other then the little bit ive read but everyone i see that has stroker kits have the cheetah cub or something to that extent.I had a banshee when I was younger and loved it,ive had a few sport quads since(warrior,400ex,660 rap) but none of them was as fun as the banshee I had.I found this one http://www.mautofied.com/2004-Yamaha-banshee_Other-ATVs/listing/100524759/ and it looks nice as fuck but I wouldnt want to pay more then 5ish for it.This one also seems pretty nice but its a little too far of a drive http://www.mautofied.com/2005-Yamaha-Banshee_Other-ATVs/listing/100535654/.

the blue one is actually my buddys quad and it runs great but it leaks oil and the clutch seems to be slipping or needs adjusted.I dont mind spending 4-5k for a nice quad or even more for something with a sportbike swap if anyone knows of something.

Thanks for all the responses guys

a 4mil crank is just a drop in, very easy to do. should port the jugs to match the extra stroke. after that, the cases need trenched.

if you mean, you buy a complete stroker banshee motor, then yes it is just a swap of motors.

fuck if you pay for the parts i would install them on that banshee.

how much would it cost to turn yours into something like this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2001-yamaha-banshee-421-stroker-motor-lots-of-extras-/150941532723?forcev4exp=true

do you do or know anyone that does custom fab work around here? id really rather something like a gsxr 750 in a banshee.

You really need to consider Zillas bike. He actually knows what he is selling. The price is right and for the extra cash you have left you can add your personal touch.

You'll also have the experience of building and gaining Knowledge as you go.

Just my opinion.

CALL ZILLA !

I am.My thing is i dont want to buy his for 2000 and then have to spend 5k for it to be the way I want,do a bunch of work and maybe do it right when I could prob find what im looking for for 5k ready to go..I understand what your saying totally but I dont think im experienced enough to know what combos parts wise work the best together, nor do I have the tools or place to do any of the work at this time.

That e-bay banshee looks like a stock cylinder no?

If your asking me then i have no clue..thats why im kinda leaning toward buying something already built...id end up paying 2 grand for a "421 triple cheetah bear cub turbo jack daniels meth injected motor" that turns out to be a chromed out stocker lol..Ive built and owned 10+ 500rwhp cars and I would never build one myself without knowing exactly what is needed for most applications and it takes alot of reading and seeing stuff in person to know that stuff. As far as banshees go i dont have a slightest clue and really just want something already built.I dont mind learning stuff over time but im not trying to research stuff for a month and then maybe be able to build something half way decent if that makes any sense.

Look for something with suspension mods and some motor work. You seem to want something completely done up right away, is there a reason for that? Have you ridden a banshee with motor work? Just hoping on a 465 banshee if you have never ridden one might be more power than you need. What kind of riding do you do

Yeah I owned a banshee with bolt ons i guess you would say.Yeah ive rode a few 80-100hp banshees.when i lived in florida a few guys that i knew had banshees and zillas set up for sand drags.Mostly im looking for something i can do a LITTLE trail riding but mostly open fields/drags and occasional dunes when possible.I honestly would just rather have something over powered then something underpowered.Ive always been that way with cars and trucks. i daily drive(when its not raining) a 408ci lsx camaro with a 88mm turbo.

I wouldnt mind a mildly built stock bore bike but i dont want something with just an exhaust and minor stuff. The big displacement stuff would be cool but I would settle for one thats not as extreme if i could find a nice one.zillas does look like it would be a solid platform to start from for sure but like i said i wouldnt know where to begin with the little amount of knowledge i have with aftermarket parts.
