bustedknuckles
im currently building my engine for my banshee...I have a hotrod crank(stock stroke), and the Athena top end kit. after I get that built im going to put in v-force 3 reeds and shearer inframe pipes. I am wondering which carbs would be the best selection for my build. I have two sets of stock carbs that came with the rolling chassis I bought, the question that I have is will they supply enough fuel or should I go ahead and buy bigger carbs, and which carbs would be the best for my application... thanks in advance
sprinklerman
Stock carbs will work just fine for that combo. The question you need to ask is "do i want to spend 350.00 for carbs +100.00 for intakes for easier tuning and a touch more HP/TQ"? The PWK is a better carb, but on something as mild as that setup, you arent looking at adding tons of power,,its more of a convenience. Of course thats assuming that your stock carbs are good. If they are shot, then try some Keihin PWKS. IMO
