Looking a good shop and some advices

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I was thinking in get my first 4mm bulid but I'm honest I have been dealing with banshee more than 14 years and I don't know a shit about how to build a motor. So my question is for the people from Southeast,Ga or Jacksonville,Fl or any near areas, where to take the motor to get it ported or any job that the 4mm require. I'm gonna get all the parts.

I already have:

cases

top end, I have a stock head I suppose i'll need a cool head Am I wrong?

35mm carbs

Vforce

timing plate

is funny still need the most important thing the crank but is just I'm not sure yet with which one go, brand, 110 or 115,etc.

any advice is welcome.

What about the bore can I keep the 64mm or will need more bore. Honestly i don't want a motor to compete with anybody just want a reliable motor with an extra power. Actually I have in my personal banshee just basic mods, T5 pipes, timing plate,K&N filter and lid, carbs jetted of course and 15 front sproket. The most that I ride are the trails. I just don't want to stay so far at the back LOL!!!

I'll apreciate any help

Thanks!!

4mm hot rods 115 rod crank. coolhead with 19 or 20 cc domes. I agree^^^^^^ Shipping isnt too expensive. Send it to Fast, HJR or the like and let them know what you want and they will ask all the right questions and set your porting up. Dont bore unless you need to. Boring isnt for power just gets imperfections out of the cylinder walls. You will need some wiseco 795 pistons too.

Why these piston? Can't I use the stock one? Or are they so weak for the set up?

You can use stock with a 110 to 4 mil

Shipping is fairly cheap. Your best bet is to send it out. Read up there's a lot of info already about how to set up a 4 mil

I have been reading some of them but the people here really spend a lot of money lol!!!! I just want something simple like already mention reliable a some extra HP.

Shipping will probably be around 100-200! Depends on how far your shipping and what kind of insurance you put on it! It cost me 190 to ship a complete motor plus carbs from pa to oregon. That was with a 3k replacement insurance plan!

Where are you located and where you got it shipped?

Another one is Passion Racing Tulsa, Ok. I have talked to him a couple times. Really good guy. I would think you could ship in there for $50 ish. Usually fed ex is cheaper on larger stuff.

Someone already mentioned me this guy but I'm in Ga and the shipping won't be friendly. I believe I'll need to add some cash to the budget just for the shipping if I dont find anything local.
