hey guys, i floated my ground from the stator and i just have a couple questions about completing the wiring. the wire that comes from the stator that is my floated ground i haven't hooked it up to anything yet so i just put the wire under my plastic bolt under the seat... can i run my banshee with the floated ground not in use?

and i wanna be able to use my stock lighting switch so i wired my trail tech hids to the high beams yellow wire on the lighting plugs like this http://s1288.beta.photobucket.com/user/Joshua_Almeida/media/20121103_030410.jpg.html?sort=3&o=0

i know i got the hard parts done in this dc conversion but i dont wanna fuck anything up. so how should i wire the black/ ground wire from the hids?

should i just run a new separate wire from each light back to the negative side of my trail tech battery ? or can i just wire them to the existing black wire that i had my halogens negatives going to? this is my battery im using http://www.trailtech.net/040-BATT3.7.html

this is my regulator http://s1288.beta.photobucket.com/user/Joshua_Almeida/media/46487_10151096936100382_1350913332_n.jpg.html?sort=3&o=10

i know the two yellows go to the stator... ones goes to the existing lighting wire from the stator and the other one goes to the new floated ground correct?

so where ever i unplug the existing lighting lead from the stator thats where i hook it up to the red/yelllow on the regulator?

im also gonna put a 15amp waterproof fuse somewhere close to the postive side of the wire coming from the battery.

Idk if it's the same as ddm tuning HIDs in my 400 ex but the bulbs connect to a ballast and the ballast has a + and - wire. Just hook those through your switch and to the battery

Sounds like you have it all figured out. Make sure to remove the stock regulator. Probably use a 2.5 or 5 amp fuse with the hids. With the 15 something will burn up long before the fuse blows.

coupelx what would u do hook up the grounds back to the battery and not to the lighting switch like the pic???

where would u hook up the yellow/red wire from the trail tech regualtor? hook it up to where the lighting lead from the stator was pluged into?

for mine i ran all the grounds together then to the battery and i ran the pos to a toggle switch then to the lights. the yellow/red wire is a trigger for the built in relay in the regulator, you gan hook it up in a way so the lights come on when you start and then stay on for a period of time after. it can also be set up to only charge the batt when the lights are on and also run lights with no batt, youd have to look on their website for different configurations
