stuck in 3rd and 4th..

After changing oil i went out riding for a day.. On the way out my shee stuck in 3rd and 4th.

So i took the clutches and jaz off. So now i lookin at shift star.. When shifting up and down the arm moves good.. But seems that shift star will not completely rotate.. Is thisbent forks or the spring behind star?

This happened to me one time I pulled the clutch cover off and the shift shaft had Messed up it was a really easy fix hopefully that's what is going on with yours too

Ok....first grammar.....clickez is not a word and terrible grammar will get you no where with good help on bhq.

 

The banshee trans will not like to shift while just sitting there and not spinning. Try rotating the clutch assembly while you shift it through a few gears. Also make sure your eccentric screw is adjusted accordingly. If your unsure about most of this stuff, a clymers manual will help you immensely.

no, you should need pliers to turn it. put the roller back on the star and make sure the claws are centered proeprly. may need a washer on the end of the shift-shaft, or pull the case gasket and use blue silicone sealant. to tighten up the shaft play. check that the drum is not able to move in/out. you will need to rotate the gears while shifting to make them line up.

It seems like the shift star is jamed up..think its a fork then?
