dozer
Ball joint let go as i was about to shift into sixth. My left foot is twice the size of my right. Headed for xrays in the mornin. Had a great time and met some really cool people. The group from kentucky were great. Sprinklerman let me borrow paddles to try out. Pretty much anyone on a banshee was friendly.

sprinklerman
A bunch of us were taking turns racing and then sitting along the sidlines of the 1st "drag strip" area talking . Well Dozer was racing a LT500, if i remember right, and when he got towards the end of the strip area, instead of letting off,he kept her pinned and flew over the "whooped out" shut down area. Id say it was one of several 1'-2' sloping drop offs. Apparently the balljoint let loose and the rest is history. That was a tore up and bumpy drag strip area for sure. I didnt have the balls to go full throttle thru that last 20yds like Dozer. If i didnt have them beat before that point, then id take the loss. They were racing approx 400'-500' it looked like to me. I shut her down after 300' so i could go thru the whoopy area at a lower speed after my shock let loose the day before. Had me kinda spooked. At least thats the way i saw it?? Bike was running strong tho Dozer! Way to represent. haha

dozer
sprinklerman has it correct. i had been having trouble with the quad not pulling that good up top, i had the carbs off atleast a dozen times cleaning them and checking the reeds. i borrowed some padla brats from sprinklerman and noticed it had plenty of bite off the line plus it pulled up top like it does at home. fast forward to friday before the crash, i cleaned the carbs one last time, we swapped in a fresh set of plugs and took off the 10 paddle extremes, bolted on some b2b 9 paddle haulers. i bogged it off the line but it picked back up and took off. it was pulling great so i stayed in it just to see how it was going to do, once it hit the whoops the lower ball joint let go and threw me. the quad looks like its going to be an easy fix but i would highly suggest anyone running stock a arms check the ball joints.
