What just happened?

I have had nothing but problems with my banshee since I got it. I have had to rebuild it three times because the person that owned it last screwed me over, and I thought I finally had it lined out. The other day I went riding and the bike was running like a champ right off the bat. I hit a long trail and ran for about an hour then stopped. I then turned around to go back and the bike was just pouring out white smoke out of the right pipe only. It felt like it was running on one cylinder. At that point I was so mad that I just got on it and said I don't care if it blows up Im gonna get back to the truck. Well after about a minute or two, it was back to running perfectly fine, but it was still just pouring smoke. I made it almost back to the truck then my exhaust boot got a hole melted in it. Can anyone shed some light as to why this happened and how to fix it?

The bike is a stock stroke, bored .30 over, 160 psi compression, hot rods crank, boyesen two stage reeds, keihen 36mm single carb with a huge 6x6 pod, a clean up port job, polished exhaust ports, and toomey t5 pipes, and +2 timing.

Yeah Im running a cool head. Everything just had brand new seals and gaskets put in less that tree full rides ago.

Pull the head off and make sure all your o-rings are still intact. Did you notice alot more heat coming from the side that was smokey?
