bansheeboie Posted September 23, 2012 Report Share Posted September 23, 2012 I have a 421cub with vf3 reeds, CPI sb if, 35pwks, sea level, 24cc domes, 55-75 degrees out,k&n filters. I was wondering about we're jetting shud be? Also was wondering if I can run 100 octane with pump gas domes? Or at least 50/50? I also have a 4mil drag ported stock cylinder,18cc domes,35pwks,shearer sb if pipes,vf3,same elevation and degrees stated above running on c12 race gas. Was wondering about we're jetting wud be with this setup?? I'm trying to get it dialed in before this coming weekend or atD least close. vulvafan537240 Posted September 23, 2012 Report Share Posted September 23, 2012 (edited) start out around 162-165 on the main and a 50 pilot, CEL needle middle clip for the cub no need for race gas if you dont need it. bump up the compression and timing, then run race gas. Timing is at +4, on 93 octane so I don't understand why this wud happen, I kno it's due to detonation but I can't seem to fig this shit out. Maybe carbs?? ban565 Posted September 23, 2012 Report Share Posted September 23, 2012 On my 4mil st cyl drag ported with 35 pwks and pc exhaust I have dgk needles on the 3rd clip and 162 main not sure about the pilot. sleeper06 Posted September 24, 2012 Report Share Posted September 24, 2012 both are gonna be pretty damn close to each other,cubs by me usually 48 or 50 pilot depending on temp changes 165 main cel 4th clip ,dgk will work with maybe a small drop in main size one two sizes,the stock cylinders depend on porting i have run up to a 172-175 on a few diffrent motors i have built and they loved big pilots .your close and you sound like you got it,if your running to the track or you got somewhere to run let me know i have been dying to run soon and dust off the shee Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
