So Cal Suspension
I used the Honda gear oil because it had a little spout on the top.

BlownSVT03
So Royal Purple 0-40 is the way to go? How many quarts do i poor in? I heard Yamaha makes a good fluid for them too, is this true? Can some post a pic of the actual bottle (royal purple) so I grab the correct one. Thanks

Thanks 1.6 quarts .. dont bother with expensive oils.. i use Wal-mart Supertech ATF Type F in both my duner and drag bikes.. you have to change a bit more often but its half the price of Royal Purple Edited September 19, 2012 by Colby
TIM LUTZ
AMSOIL Synthetic Super Shift® Racing ATF if you use your clutch a lot. Really controllable clutch feel no matter how hot you get it. The 10W is great in cold weather and puts more power to the ground. Love this stuff. http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/art.aspx
possum
I used the Honda gear oil because it had a little spout on the top. Good stuff there matt

Hell you can run anything you want its your machine, wether its the spout that turns you on or whatever!!
dajogejr
I've used Bel Ray Gearsaver, 80W. I've used 10W30, Royal Purple, ATF Type F, ... The only thing I can tell you for 100% certainty is you'll change ATF fluid more often. But for the price you can do that easily. Motul makes good stuff too.
