87BRBanshee
How long is the break in period for new rings and do I have to do anything special or just take it easy? What should i premix the first tank at?
gappa38
My builder told me there really is no break in time just make sure and let it warm up for a while before rippin on it and you want to premix it to what ever you plan on running in the future
joey83
The book says different. I think I did 32:1 for about 1/4-1/2 a tank. You shouldnt rip on it. Vary your throttle. Go through warm up and cooling cycles etc. You can find the exact info on here if you search for it or just google it and then click on the bhq stuff. dirtydownunder
after ive tensioned the head down, after the first warm up. i rip on it good. never let it idle for to long after a rebuild, keep ninging it or ride it. dont change oil ratio's just for run in. do heat cycles if you want, i think theyre silly. sheerider11
Almost anyone will tell you, make sure everything is tight, let it warm up then ride it like you normally would. When youre done might want to check the head bolts and make sure they are still tight. X2. I finished my rebuild, started it, listen for anything crazy that doesn't sound normal then go. Come back home and just double check everything. My bike runs okay still.
guns4children
Start it, warm it, ride it.
