Dahl87banshee
No I'm not asking who will win a race. Lmao. I'm thinking about switching it up a little and getting rid of the banshee for an R. I would like having both but at the moment it's not possible. Thoughts and options? Maybe someone can talk me out of it or give me someway to think about it. I've worked on a lot of R's and find them a blast to ride and love the handling. They feel perfect. I love screaming with the banshee though too. But on the other hand I do like the bottom end torque of the R's. What's everyone think? lms1977
serval or power vavle motor would help the tq of the shee but then you will still need to do the suspention on the shee to make it handle.. really it depends on what you want I had a good running ported r it ran good and was good on trails but it was not a shee so I got rid of it and modded my shee
ginger
the 250r's are fun cuz they weigh nothing, and have great power, but the banshee just feels so much smoother like a cadillac
ginger
Banshee, Cadillac, and smooth should never be used in the same sentence. im just saying my banshee is much more comfortable to ride then my friends 250r
sheerider11
im just saying my banshee is much more comfortable to ride then my friends 250r Then you're riding a fucked up R. I rode a R fully built for 10 minutes tops. Most comfortable riding bike I've been on.
bluebanshee98
my buddy has a 250r. they have some good power and handle pretty damn well. however they do not have that arm yanking power that a shee has and how crazy you wanna go with the engine on a shee is up to you. banshees are the true screamers and always will be
Dahl87banshee
Alright well my banshee has- +2+1 arms with fox shocks +4 durable axle Rebuilt and revalved rear shock Sorta like a dune port from NSX +4 timing Razr tires all around Fmf sst pipes Stock airbox with the lid off and a proflo adapter 14-42 gearing It's a basic shee. It runs great and pulls awesome. But I am kinda dipping into mx and its great even in the track, but I know R's have great geometry for mx and I have rose several actually set up R's and they feel perfect. A little better then my shee is now. I have ridden non ported ones and ported ones. I would deffinately have the r ported like I did the banshee, way better. I love my banshee as trust me, I will be back I the banshee scene if I leave, I just want some honest opinions on the r and the shee. They are both awesome wheelers, if anyone owns both or rides both regularly that would be perfect. I ride a friends when we go to the pit and he rides my banshee so I know I like that one, but I'm just testing water. His r is a 330 esr cylinder with the power valve deleted and has a mid to top port bye the best 250r builder there is. He has receipts I'll ask him which guy it was. It has like 72 hp and pulls like crazy. Even just when it was ported it pulled good. It's no banshee but I do like them. Just some opinions would be awesome. Thanks guys Discuss
thomas h.
Do a yfz450 conversion The down side to a 250r is limited numbers harder to get Some good parts
ticktock
If you want a 250r get it. It is the most amazing machine ever built. The ESR 370 PV is amazing. Arm ripping power in all aspects of the power band and the chassis has been the basis for nearly all sport ATVs. Remember when they raced 2 strokes everyone based it off the geometry. There are so many parts available today it is awesome. ESR has everything from new cases to cylinders and Honda still produces nearly all parts for the bike due to its popularity. Hope that helps Adam
Badbar88
I've had a YFZ450, and riden just about every sport bike made....ever, and my banshee rides like a Cadillac compared to all of them!

Dahl87banshee
My banshee rides good too. But I've ridden the ds450x and it was a lot better. I rode yfzs too and they felt ok but not the best. Idk I refuse to go 4 stroke again. So it's either 250r or banshee. And as bad as it sounds, for how I ride the r seems better. But both sounds even better than that. Super hard decision.
