LegalizeFreedom
What's going on? I just got this '06 Banshee all stock with the exception of Trinity Stage 4 pipes & Trinity 2-1 filter. When I first checked it out all the lights worked as they should but after the third ride they all burnt out. I had a friend come into town & let him use it for transportation (ALL dirt roads here, legal to ride on all roads all the time), I replaced all bulbs so he wouldn't get pulled over, later that night they all burned out again & he got pulled over. Any ideas what might be going wrong? I'm about to rip this bike apart & restore it (not taken care of well) & if you guys could give me some pointers on what to look for I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you! Sounds like you have a regulator that shit the bed. It;ll be under your seat. Silver box with a blue wire coming out of it. I'd replace that and try again. LegalizeFreedom
Alright then, I'll get a regulator on order. I looked them up & outside of calling Yamaha, all I can find are aftermarket regulators. Any brands I should look for/stay away from? If no ideas, I'll just call Yamaha. It'll cost quite a bit more I'm sure but buy once, cry once. Should be done right the first time, thank you both for the info!

I'm sure someone probably has a bin full of them somewhere. NYUK probably has a handful of them on hand and can ship to you immediately. Maybe it doesn't have a good ground. Maybe there's a Billy Bob redneck wire repair in the harness that fell apart. Take the seat off and check the voltage with a multimeter at the regulator with the engine revved up.
