guns4children
Make sure you crossover tube is hooked up ( if you have stock carbs its the tube running between them) if that's hooked up just play with you idle screws/ tors tops. texasbanshee
Are the reeds new or used? I had the same problem. Bike wouldn't idle and was rich. Dropped down to a 25 pilot and it was still rich (died as soon as the choke was cracked open). Replaced the reeds and it's back to where it used to be with a 27.5 pilot. texasbanshee
Did you take the carbs off when you replaced the reeds or just move them to the side. If the carbs are not synced it can cause idle problems.
texasbanshee
Any time you pull the carb caps off (Tors in your case) you need to re-sync them. Do the air screws have any effect when you move them?
benjiman the builder
vf3's are notorious for not sealing good and creating airleaks, was any sealant used on the gaskets ? they almost always require some, i like a light coat of hi-temp copper permagasket. and as with any intake work....has it passed a leakdown test ???? You didnt switch the carb slides by accident did you ? Does it act as if its flooding out ?? just unscrew one and check the left slide has two slots cut in the top of it and the right only has one slot

If ya have the air fuel screws "maxed" that is your idle problem!! If ya have 27.5 in now with the air screws bottomed.. Bump up to a 30 and back the screws out to 1-1/2!! That will cure your idle problem as long as there are zero air leaks
