1CrazyBastard
last clip on the blunt end?? or tapered? so what jetting you have in now and wats temp and elev sorry cant member if i saw that in first post No the bottom clip closest to the tapered end of the needle its 90 + degrees at sea level and 100 % humidity I think tried position 5 and a washer but it wasnt enough with the 280 s main and 25 pilots I am going to up the mains a bit as I think its still a little lean up top it was getting dark and I need to chop it up top again tomorrow but I expect to go up to 290 s or 300 s it runs nearly perfect now but surges a bit up top past 7/8 throttle
Finch
put the stock needle back in and on middle clip and leave same main and see what happen IMO all needles besides stock for stock carbs are junk trying to change also where is your airscrew at? I have tried every position in the needle from 3 down and every jet from 280 to 310 as well as pilots 25 and 27.5 it does not run right in the middle position .I do not have the stock needles as I recently bought the banshee and it already had dynojet kit and needles .it needed more fuel mid and low range after installing the k & n filts had I just moved the needles in the first place it would have been close as I am back to the jets that I had with the stock box only change is moving the needles now other than that its the same as before and the air screws are at 2.5 turns as per the vitos tors elim kit its running really good now with a little surge up top I have chopped and chopped plugs repeatedly all I need is a lil back up top now and I hope the 290s do it
1CrazyBastard
Well I pulled em again for the three bazillyant time ahha put in 27.5 pilots moved the needles up one from the tapered and power is back in the low ans mid range it runs great but it still needs a little more on the main as it runs perfect up to about 7/8 throttle then surges if you stay in it which we know isnt good . I think I need 320's or 330 's as someone already said as we tried 340 s off the bat a week ago and they were to rich of all the jets I have i think they are the ones that are gonna make it perfect again and I can tell now it pullls better than it has since I owned it in the low to mid .I just bought Duncan reeds from (94banshee)in the for sale section and hope they help wake it up a little more .I got a pretty good education on this thing and pretty god dam pissed off too but Shee's back Thanks everyone for helping me out on here
