#1JUANstunna
I've had mine mounted up front. Now my cdi is just zip tied to the frame next to the coil. I'm going to permanently mount it there this winter when I tear it down.

WINDYCITYJOHN400
Or just get some velcro with the sticky tape on the back sides and use it to mount the CDI to the back end of your gas tank. Just put some velcro on the tank and on the back of the CDI and push it on. (It mounts just in front of the seat.) On the flat section between the two screws in the back of the tank that are for your plastic mounts. The regulator can mount to you old TORS location. Or you can do some welding and fabbing......that works too.
dajogejr
Stock CDI and Stock Coil, you can mount them close to each other. A lot of us just zip tie the CDI to the radiator bottom corner. If you decide to go aftermarket Coil, you want to give them some distance. They can cause interference close together... On my old steed, even though I had an aftermarket subframe, I kept the stock rear plastic under the seat (fenders 100% gone) I used the stock tool box location for my CDI and used a long Velcro strap around it. That way, I could swap it out at the track if anything happened as simple as unsnapping the connectors and undoing the velcro. If you're still using stock rear plastics...just an idea. Plus it easy to clean up the wiring since its directly over the Stator...
