87BRBanshee
No, not nessassary. The T5s work fine with stock ports (more people probably use T5s on stock ports than modified ones). But it'll take more than a stock cylinder (even full bolt on) to outrun a good 310r setup. Ok thanks guys for all the help, im glad i made the switch from BT. ALOT more help here, plus everyones cooler . ill look into those 28mm PWK's and get some ordered up. Will they be fine in the future when i go to do some porting? i dont want to do a dune/drag port nothing too big i just want to have a mild port job
gotta_goatsfast
the 28mm pwks will compliment an mx or play port very well. Or, an even sweeter budget setup is to bore the carbs to 30mm and run a 4mm stroker crank with ported jugs. It'll still work well with the T5s and have enough ooomph to outrun all but the most built crazy 4 strokes.

lms1977
The reason the left cylinder has no compression is cuz there was a tear in the carb boot between the carb and motor :/ So did you rebuild it?? Cause the tear in the boot would not change the reading on a compression gauge.. Unless the cyl was wrecked but then you would need to rebuild.
