Twist Throttle

Twist throttle. Pros and Cons. Not sure, and don't know anyone that has one.

Pro's - No thumb fatigue

 

Con's - Whiskey Throttle over bumps... very easy to get hurt.

 

I run a twist on everything, but a dual gasser on my banshee

Love my twist throttle on my banshee will not ride with a thumb throttle but I can already tell you the majority of the people will tell you it is a bad idea. If you are not use to a twist you can hurt yourself with one. I love min and have no issues at all with it but I have ran a twist on everything I have ever rode.

Twist isnt that bad at all you just got to be careful and know what your doing.

Had the stock thumb throttle when I bought my banshee in 98, I took it off and put a Motion Pro twist throttle on and damn near killed myself on some whoops at dyracuse atv park. I now have a 250r thumb throttle and will never ever go back to a twist on a quad.

 

I think if you are a straight line guy a twist will be fine, but if you like to turn corners or if there is a chance that your banshee might become airborn I would suggest staying with the thumb throttle.

I just went twist. Love it. My thumb even gets tired on my honda rancher and it has a super easy throttle.

You have to try both to know what you prefer. I've gone from motocross to quad so I have a preference to twist. Its easier IMO to control the throttle thru whoops and jumps.

Thanks for the input. I think I will try the dual gas set up.
