MarineNYC
NOT GIVING THE LONG STORY. My buddy had a banshee for sale. He put a ad on craigslist. 2 guys came to the house to check out the bike. They offered him a little extra money if he would deliver it. So he loaded up the bike with his 16 year old cousin and started down to deliver the bike near Yankee stadium. The buyers met him on the corner and took the wad of cash out. My friend started to un strap the bike. When he turned around 1 of the guys pulled a handgun and stuck it in his face. Then a bunch of people came out of the woodwork. Pulled the bike out of the bed. Started it and rode away. THEN the guy with the pistol told my friend to hand over the title. Then told my friend that he would shoot his cousin and him if they followed him. He called the cops and supposedly all the cops say that this is happening on a daily basis now. Just be careful out there. Sorry for no punctuationim but I did this by talking into my phone. gotta_goatsfast
What the fuck. That is extremely irritating. I take it there were no vehicle plates or identification to help the police? Should set up a sting operation with a crew of your own and bigger guns....

thomas h.
I work on garage doors. If your door has windows they will punch the window and pull the release cord. If you do not have window they will push in the top of the door( it will flex 2-3 inches) and fish for the release with a coat hanger. Not recommended because of fire entrapment but you could wire your release closed and cut it away if you need to open door manually. Or purchase a Liftmaster 3800. This motor rocks because it is side mount and has a sliding bolt so it would be extreamly difficult to get inside. Thanks for the heads up on delivering bikes I have a ltz 400 for sale now and I have delivered to Craigslist customers in the past ( no issues). VictorK
I just went from ct to Harlem to deliver a bike a few weeks ago. I spoke and had interaction with the buyer for a few weeks before hand and didn't pick up on any sketchy vibes. The dude and his boys ended up being really cool but it could of very well been another scenario. I'm curious in this case if these guys showed sketchyness that wasn't picked up on? Either way that just plain sucks. I hope the bikes recovered but most importantly, Atleast nobody was hurt.

MarineNYC
Its too bad. The victim is a real great guy too. Would help anyone and i mean anyone. The cops are actually saying that it would be pretty hard if they even found the scumbag and the bike being that he has the title and all. Another thing that I just found out is that when he removed the title from my friends pocket he actually took it out himself and placed 100 dollars in his pocket. Almost as a slap in the face.
