sstewart0023
hey guys, its been a while since i been on bhq, so its like starting from scratch for me. I've got a 01 shee with stock jugs, but it has a bunch of mods. I think its time to bump it up a bit tho. Heres what i got. Stage iv trinity head w/ 18cc spiral domes, boost bottle, vforce 3 reed cage and reeds, stage iv pipes, trinity spiral intake with k and n filter ( stock carbs) not sure of the jetting. Thats the main motor mods other than cbr hoses, hi flow impeller. I always run 110 octane with klots 32:1. I mostly ride mx but thinkin alot about starting to hit up a few rodeos, and mabey some hillclimbs. Any advice would help ive rode 2 strokes my whole life just never had a shee till now

trickedcarbine
It's not so much that the trinity stuff sucks, but their service is fucking garbage! Your head is more then fine. Especially if you have high compression. Their pipes are about like toomey's so run them unless you do something drastic like high duration Porting. As for their intakes, they are cool to run, however you need to ditch the boost bottle off of it. Those things develop air leaks that can cause a major lean condition. So it's not that their stuff is junk, albeit some can be gimmicky. They just suck at life when it comes to service. I mean a cheetah is pretty bad ass! As long as they aren't in charge of setting it up!
Jereme6655
I heard that their pipes pretty much didn't make any likable power
sheerider11
If you've already got it and it works for you then use it. But porting is your next step. If you want go 4 mil, if not at least weld your crank. Put on a pancake bearing, you can do a few shift mods to ease shifting. How is your suspension? If you want to go fast you at least need control. So don't cheap out on suspension.

I also got a tusk +1+3 axle and hubs but i havent put the axle in yet. I didnt need it with the extended hubs, ill wait till i bend my stocker i guess. Im pretty happy with the way it handles now i just feel its time for more power. Theres a few jumps at our local tracks it just will not clear no matter how hard u hit them
sstewart0023
and as far as going to a 4 mil i was seriously thinking about it i just dont fully understand all of that mess. i understand what it is but i dont kno enuff about them yet to take off building one that is dependable. Any and all help on that topic would be greatly appriciated. ive asked a few people on here about it and they were half shitty about helpin me. sheerider11
I love my 4 mil. Do it and you'll never go back. Call a builder and start picking there brain with info on your bike. They'll shoot you in the right direction. You can have them build it or have them just port it and you put out back together. Now this is very important, there is a right way and a wrong way to build a 4 mil. I did both ways and wasted a few hundred bucks. So with a 4 mil you have more crank throw, 2 mil up and 2 nil down. With that your piston would smash the head. So to correct this you need to get custom cut domes or have your stock head cut. Back to that right way and wrong way, you get a spacer plate to raise EVERYTHING to keep the pistons from hitting. With everything that includes your port timings and now you have a lot more area to create a leak. I did this and it ran. But not to it's full potential. So for the best performance you have to get the jugs ported for the 4 mil and the head/ domes cut.

sheerider11
I went with hjr, just for his 10 day turn around time. It's preference really. My next motor will be some one different. Cal a few shops and see who you click with.
