dave5.0
I think I've been told that the cubs need the compression and timing or they are way doggy on the bottom. If a person wants to run pump probably be better off running a serval. I'm sure somebody smarter than me will correct me if I'm wrong. gangstahic
Yaaa that seems to be making the most logic to me as well. Im def gonna have to spend the extra cash n get the race gas. Especially since ill be duning the cubb.

I've talked to a few guys with cubs and ported cubs that wish they would've went that way.
gangstahic
Good looks for the heads up. I cant try either never rode either cylinder. My thoughts are if u want low-end n a smooth power band u should build a 4 stroke then. Jus my 2cents

possum
Im actually gonna try a 10 cub on pump gas. I dont care about having doggy bottom end. Im used to it on my pump gas 350 drag ported that i dune. That thing is doggy in the deep sand on bottom. And i ride it no problem. I love the light switch feel. We ride banshees remember. Im sure your 421 and definetly my 465 on pump will have more bottom end torque them a 350 dragported on pump. I just want a fast duner. And the serval is not for me. I have rode one! possum
Oh and i have rode a 421 cub on pump with a cleanup port, lockup, and dunable overide. It had 135 psi in each hole. And it felt just fine. Good bottom for a cub imo. No its not snappy off bottom but its fast if u know how to ride!
gangstahic
Thanks for the engine temperature pointer-hilarious. Possum we think exactly alike, thats the reason we ride banshees that violent power. That is exactly what im looking for. If i wanted something with grunt id ride a 4 mil n hook that up. Ive never rode either cylinder, so i cant compare at all but im just trying to imagine what the cub and serval would be like!!
possum
If u want violence dont get a serval. There smoother in the powerband and flatter on top. If u know how to ride a doggy bottom end and want violence, cub all the way. Fuel is up to u but running temps is a factor. SuperMex
Race gas...if you want that Cub to run hard! Pump if you want to save money, all depends on how you ride and how often imo. Motors are like a weapon or tool, you choose it according to what your doing!
gangstahic
Thanks for the advice. My banshees engine is bone stock all i did was throw shearers on, (because of intentions on building a motor) k&n pods and 300 main jets in. The bike has minimal bottom end but arm yanking top end. i actually enjoy riding it. Ive been told the cub's bottom end would actually be improved over my set up now. If thats the case id be very pleased.
vulvafan537240
i have a pump gas 421 cub and its not too bad on the bottom end. id switch to race gas but i dont want to spend all that money on it to cruise down dirt roads and such. i went with a cub because i want to have the power there when i need it (for big mouth buddies on craptors and yfz's).
