fastforworddad Posted October 1, 2012 Report Posted October 1, 2012 I believe he is when he's not blown up Poopstangs (mustang) We always called them rustangs!!!LOL He pops in and pops out, in the mean time I need a high output stator. Quote
So Cal Suspension Posted October 1, 2012 Report Posted October 1, 2012 I just ordered a rewound RS stator already converted to DC from Gary. Sheerider1026. Stators are one of those things that I don't play around with. If you want the best, get a hold of Gary and be willing to wait. No way I would trust a $49 stator from China. Quote
bansman76 Posted October 4, 2012 Report Posted October 4, 2012 does anyone know where i can get my hands on a floated ground stator with dc conversion kit for a 93 model ??? Quote
So Cal Banshee Posted October 4, 2012 Report Posted October 4, 2012 (edited) just gerat any year stator... reference service manual to match correct wire colors and splice wiring, after flywheel is mounted check the air gap on the pickup... Good to go... Evan (racetech electrical) did my 89 shee for hands on R & D, he might do earlier years if he gets enough interest.. ***** I'm not responsible for damage if you splice incorrect wires together...if your uncomfortable with doing that then don't do it... there are members who might have better options that may chime in ... ****** Edited October 4, 2012 by So Cal Banshee Quote

Judge1 Posted November 13, 2012 Report Posted November 13, 2012 What happened with this stator? Anyone who received one have any feedback? Quote
So Cal Suspension Posted November 13, 2012 Report Posted November 13, 2012 I think the only feedback given was the one post in this thread in which he fried his CDI. He was supposed to report back after he replaced the CDI, but haven't heard back. Quote
lms1977 Posted November 13, 2012 Report Posted November 13, 2012 yea figured by now would have heard something??? Quote
WINDYCITYJOHN400 Posted November 14, 2012 Report Posted November 14, 2012 I got one that I've been doing some long term endurance testing on.........(I got it right after he started this post.) I figured he would get plenty of people who would be in line to ask for a freebie, but I've been actually testing it and trying it on a few different bikes for a while. It's been on a few high HP, high reving bikes for some dyno sessions as well as a few trips to the dunes and the Badlands. It's a very nice looking piece and I haven't had any issues with it so far. (Mine is the standard model, not the DC conversion.) I took it for a trip down the creek at the Badlands in a stock stator cover. My nerfs and shifter were under water the whole time. I think the only thing that stayed dry all day was my filters. LOL. As for the stator.....mine is still going strong. Better than I can say for most Ricky Stator junk. Quote
