sootman73
The other day i rode a well built banshee that made alot more power than mine and it shifted way smoother than my quad. He had a lockup clutch and short clutch lever and it was still easier to pull and to shift than my quad. What mods do I need to do to my quad to get it shifting easily? I drag race alot and missing shifts is not an option anymore. I plan on doing the shift star mod and adjusting the clutch. possibly replacing the clutch cable but i don't think it needs that. (clutch is new FAST racing light duty)
BigRed350x
If all you do is drag race, then go get yourself an override. If you do other riding mixed with drag racing, then do the following: side-cut your gears shift star mod shift pro kit (but keep the heavier stock spring, don't use the shift-pro spring) shift shaft mod 2nd bearing on the shift drum Try that and see how you like it. -Jared
WINDYCITYJOHN400
And buy a new clutch cable.
BigRed350x
And buy a new clutch cable. I agree. Since you would have to split your cases to get the gears side-cut, you might as well replace the clutch actuator arm bearing that's pressed into the cases, get the new clutch cable Windy suggested, and get yourself a nice clutch lever like an ASV. -Jared

I would say give Kevin @ HJR a call, he can hook you up with the shift pro kit. You can also get it from cascadeinnovations.net
