BIGONTS
If you are in Chicago check out LoCo and Gorrila coating out south. Had them both coat stuff and it came out awesome. A lot of color choices including metallics. Gorilla did one banshee frame for a local guy nice metallic red like the yfz450r for $150 he told me. Came out great. booboo
When you powder coat your frame do you have to remove powder coating where you would have a ground like under the coil?
Rustynail
It does need a clean ground...usually clean threads where it screws on are sufficient
Mootsman
If you do need to remove some powder coating, use a q-tip dipped in acetone and it well melt the powder off the metal. I find this method easier to control than sanding it off.
ginger
i had a place in PA do mine. 2 layers of Floresant Neon Yellow, and blasted for
camatv
its good to clean off to metal the coil adn all other grounds on the frame. also chase ALL the threads becore you put it back together. i use plugs in the holes to try adn help with that. mostly the heating causes some issues with the threads also. i charge 250-350 depending on prep i have to do and color choices. those flop colors are bad ass! you can also layer colors as long as they are a translucent, clear flake or candy type. dual layering solids is a waste of time. Bad one ton
The guys that did my pc put silicone in all the small threads and plugged the big ones. I didn't have to chase a single hole. They also did the frame and swingarm for under $300. TON! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
