Some one plz help You Sir need to pull off your water pump cover and check your impeller and the drive gear in there. Thats most likely your problem. Once they boil over like that the pump impeller likes to warp and that takes out the plastic drive gear again. (Mull sells a metal drive gear.) (We tend to forget just how OLD some of these parts are.) A friend just had a front brake hose break. He was pissed cause it killed his ride day. blowit Posted July 27, 2012 Report Share Posted July 27, 2012 I don't think even we knew how many problems there were with the plastic drive gear when we built the billet replacement. It has been quite an issue for some, even newer bikes. If there is just a little to much drag on the pump for whatever reason or a little piece of clutch material gets up there, it will fail.
