Hey everyone I live in PHX AZ and i have a 2000 Shee on the stock top end from the factory and i want to re build for the upcoming riding season!! I mainly ride the dunes and occasional desert rides. The shee still runs strong but i wanna get a new top end in her before she gets weak. Money is tight so i just wanna make her fresh until i can afford to build a 4 mill in the future when funds are available. This will be my first top end that i will be doing so i need some advice on what i need to replace while i have the top end off and what to check and what to look for and so on. Thanks everyone in advance!!! The list of mods i have are T5, KN pro plate, VF reeds

First off if money is tight find the specs for the piston sizes on here i think their in technical info and use the micrometer and if your piston is within specs hone it and re ring it. So first off this is what your going to need i might miss one or two things. Your going to need a head gasket, base gaskets, exhaust gaskets, the rings if you can go that route, and you might as well do the wrist pin and circlips while your there for the peace of mind that the wrist pin isnt going to take a shit. Also get yourself a Clymers Manual and a Torque Wrench a good one if you already dont have one. The clymer is going to walk you through step by step and it is easy to follow. But say that somthing went wrong and you end up needing to bore the cylinders send them to preferably a site sponsor have them bored and honed. Also your going to want new pistons i recommend doing this i will put all links below your going to want to pick up 2 pistons FROM A SITE SPONSOR they are by far the cheapest no joke. So for example your going to want to get a pair of pistons for 175$ that includes the piston and rings and im not sure on circlips remember to ask. Also get 2 wrist pins. Then your going to want to get a topend gasket kit. Thats going to have everything you need. So now your going to want to whip out the clymers grab the parts and get to work follow the clymer step by step. THE BIGGEST THING TAKE YOUR TIME do not rush 99% of the time rushing leads to mistakes. These are very very simple machines and it should not be hard for you if you know how to spin a wrench. Now ill get all the links for you i used fast for everything you can look at different site sponsors for prices and everything. Good Luck Man.
