Rotax Raptor
I have a real nice complete bottom end minus stator and flywheel for $450 shipped. A new crank will cost about that. You may want to check your radiator and impeller too. That thing got extremely hot.

trickedcarbine
And this is why our chicks won't let us put it in their butt with out lube. Seriously though, some one forgot about oil. When you go to assemble it, keep a clymer manual near by for reference and if anything leads you to wonder if it should be replaced, just go ahead and do so. Once it is assembled, pressure test it, squish test it, compression test it. Any questions you have post here. There are a lot of very informative fellas here. Although you might get smart ass answers, just play it cool. A lot of guys will bust your balls just to break you in a little bit. Take no offense. joey83
Haha! ok thanks a ton guys! i worked at a lawnmower shop for almost 5 yrs in high school and college so can handle majority of this stuff. But i'll search the leak test to see more info. squish test is new to me. I'll look that one up. ive got a manual coming. one of my students is supposed to bring me his old clymer. Thanks for the offer on the bottom end but John (nyuk) is mailing me some cases and a crank already. The gas tank is dry with the exception of some water.. The bike had been sitting for about 10-12 months under a tarp under a lean-to on a barn before i bought it. the little bit of fuel in carbs looked lean. it was old fuel and hard to tell but i suspected straight gas.. thanks again guys. Im looking forward to getting her running then tearing it back down this winter to doll it up.
joey83
Just finished teardown and splitting cases. I also found the flywheel key missing. It didnt fall out its just gone. Redneck timing advance??? if it went way advance would it cause this damage? Id expect more damage and heat on top. Right??
Jereme6655
Usually if the key either shears or just disappears......the flywheel will fall off and the flywheel wiill play pinball on your pickup lead and your flywheel cover. Look at your flywheel again.....and look on the inside of it. I know when I remove my flywheel there have been a few times that the key has been sucked out by the magnet which is rather strong inside the flywheel and appears to be missing until you look inside the flywheel....
