joey83
Picked up this Banshee from my cousin last weekend as a little project for me and the kiddo. I've had lots of 2 stroke dirt bikes but this is my first Banshee. Loooooove 2 strokes! Has a broken rod that busted the case. Picking up parts to get it back together so I can do some riding this summer. I plan on tearing it down this winter to doll it up. It's been neglected quite a bit. Lots of great looking bikes on here! good motivation for me.

You should be able to come across a set of cases and a crank on here pretty cheap. Good luck with the build make sure to keep us updated. Jereme6655
Talk to a member named NYUK on here....he deals in used parts for extremely good deals. He can get you started with cranks and possibly a set of cases

joey83
Thanks guys. I'll look him up. Funny that u mentioned that because my local deal on parts just fell through. Just bought a few things from 007banshee's quad too. I need to post up some pics of my crank and rod to get some opinions. It had a fresh rebuild and the left cylinder melted down pretty bad. The rod bearing was HURT and left some bearing/rod on the crank. The cylinder and piston look decent. ??? But the rod bearing area is blue from getting so hot. Looks like a recwnt rebuild too with good parts. a little concerned...
joey83
Can I post pics and ask for opinions on this failure? I was wrong, I thought the cylinders and top end looked pretty decent but they're hurt. The story I got was the owner loaned it to a friend and the friend brought it back and said it died and wouldn't restart. I'm guessing he filled her up with staright fuel. ??? opinions? I hate to rebuild this engine and have it lean out and burn it up again. Is there any problem areas I need to double check or anyhting? Thanks a ton guys!! joey83
Some material got left behind on the crank. I was going to replace it when taking my bottom end out and transferring to new cases. ?

joey83
I originally thought the left side leaned out but the right cylinder is hurt bad too. Any opinions on any of this stuff would be greatly appreciated.
