OLD IRON DIRT DRAGS- SCHOOLCRAFT MI

A friend told me about this race... thought i would pass it on. They have classes for anything, motorcycles and atvs. Seen a youtube video of a crotch rocket? All ages, if you can ride it you can race it!

Laid back, fun environment!

Located Just South of Schoolcraft and North of Three Rivers on Muskrat Rd off of 131.

I tried googleing it. Didnt find out alot. I think they have schedules there. Its pretty low key as far as i can tell. Old iron motorcycle club is who puts it on. Classes from 50cc to unlimited. They will make a class if they have to. All i can tell you. Well worth the visit.

Be careful there. The track is rough, skinny, and not too safe IMO. I am biased because I had a horrible wreck last year. Its a 500' track so your trap speeds are high and shut down area small. At the trap it is hard dirt and bumpy. I ran my 14 extremes there, but it gets sketchy on the hard pack bumps, hence my crash.

 

Im not saying "dont go" but just be careful. There is money to be won, like $100 or $200 if you take it all. Its not meant for high HP Banshees but if you can hold on you will win all the money lol.

 

Its a fun little backyard track. Good luck!

paddles ok here? or pro wedges better?

 

Seems like paddles are ok on the start but its a little harder down track..

 

Im bringing every set of tires i have including spikes.

 

 

Im having trouble getting info out of people...lol I was gunna run a bar but by the looks of it it will hang up on the hump behind the starting line..

 

Im bringing:

 

drag chassis with a 10 super cub

 

drag chassis with a drag port ss 350cc

 

mild dune/ drag yfz

 

stockish yfz

 

 

also bringing a +4 swinger if i cant get anything to hook..... ill put the bar high and the short swinger .... LET IT EAT!
