rubberneck
With PJs. i would start with about a 165 or so main to be safely fat, just check your plugs before you rail on it. CEL needles in the middle and about a 50 pilot to start.

bansheeboie
Ok I go bike together, I'm goin to do a leak down test on Friday. I started her up already she sounds healthy but haven't rode it at all. I got a 52 pilot and 165main with air/fuel out 2.5 turns and it wont idle high enuff. Shud I jump to a 55pilot? I tried a 50 already but nothin. All help is appreciated
vulvafan537240
If you need more air, you need to go down a pilot. How far have you went in on the air screw? How does it act with the choke pulled?
bansheeboie
havent pulled the choke yet. so far i even went as far as all the way in on the air/fuel screw and half a turn out but still wudnt idle. i had it idling at one point but it was too low n wen id try to turn it up it wud die out. right now its at 3 turns out and wont idle. rubberneck
idle speed on pjs is adjusted by turning the choke knobs, im not sure everybody knows that if you do sorry for the highjack. The airscrews are for idle "quality" and off idle performance. If you want to raise idle speed turn the choke knobs counter clockwise
Oregon dunner
I am on the Oregon coast and I have a 421 with a 152 main, needle in the middle clip not sure on the air screw. 35pwk. I have 19cc domes, VF3 reeds with suffers. My cylinders are ported by HJR with a aggressive port job. I have cpi in frames and I am running +7 timing and c12 fuel. My bike has been tuned on a dyno and runs really good. Cam at Redline did the work.
hp2000
Are you sure on the 152 main ?? Maybe a 162...
Oregon dunner
152 main jet. 52 pilot, cel needle in middle clip. It's running over 90 hp on the dyno. When the air temp gets alittle cooler I will put a 155 in. 158, 160 and 162 were way to fat for my set up.
