trickedcarbine
The Snipers that Gary sent me had a DM flange but built around one of Jim and Gary's drag frames. The pipes mounted up to the motor and the hanger perfectly. The problem area was where the stingers met the expansion chambers. I would've had to do some pretty extensive modifications to get them to clear the frame rails and carbs. I could have done it but I am almost positive pipe performance would've been compromised. AS far as my Shearer's go, I just cut and turn a piece by the flange area that makes them clear the frame rail easier. Also, I built the stingers on my 18DM so I made them to clear everything. I have tons of room up in there. The BB Shearer's that I ran on my 10mm Cub, which are the ones on my Banshee now, had to be pried on and off with a pry bar. They hit the frame rails so bad that I would have to leave the motor loose, slide the pipes on and then snug everything up. Those things fit horribly. Not even close. Just more second hand misinformation. Why do people even post when they have no idea what they're talking about? I knew I should of just deleted that. My bad loco, I apologize for the severe misinformation. I won't let that shit happen again.
WINDYCITYJOHN400
I bought 4 sets of shearers and one set CPIs in the last 4 months from Jeff... I use UPP intakes and K&N RU-1090 pods... All these shearers fit ok, maybe I was the lucky one, but I would like to have a little more clearance for the filters... The angle of the manifolds plays a big role for clearance... The CPIs I had a big problem with, the right pipe caught the frame and when you get it on, you could not get it off without removing the front engine mount bolt to lift the engine and get the pipe off... My friends CPIs had the same issue, when the pipe was fitted, it rubbed against the right lower side of the chassis... First pic is CPIs, they does not offer much more space for filters with the manifolds I used.... Tyler Why did you delete this post that I made last night? Was it because it went up right after you posted bashing the Shearer fit? This is a guy who bought 4 sets of Shearers and he's more upset with the one set of CPI's that he bought. Clearly Shearers fit on bikes without pry bars and welders. Here is proof. Note I also have Shearers on my bike and they fit fine. Come to think of it they fit on the guys bike that had them before me too.I posted pictures from an un-biased source. Hell the guy is in South Africa! I pulled the pictures from a different post. So the pictures are free of any bias on my part or the person who took the pictures. If your going to continue to pull down posts like you did just because the pictures prove another side of a story......then I'm going to assume your willing to manipulate this form to favor whomever your allegiance is with. skywalker7374
Kicks the forum leader's ass? By spelling my name lagit1194? Your posts were a bunch of gibberish. I was going to clean the thread up and then realized that almost all of your 200 posts were in this or the old Sniper thread. That tells me you're just a shit stirrer. You don't bring anything to this forum. So, it was easier to just delete all your posts from the Admin panel. Thank you for your time and have a nice day. Usually I spell it lagoat it just fits your personality well. Sorry mister sometimes my spelling is a lil off lol. As far as being a shit stirrer, all I have to do is say one good thing about Shearer pipes and you are shaking in your boots. After that you get on here like the big dog that you are and start deleting all the posts that you have absolutely nothing to come back with, basically stumped. There are lots of posts here about how great his shit is and I didn't delete them.. Then again, they come from posters who actually contribute to the site and don't just show up when Shearer's name is mentioned like you. Shaking in my boots? Your radar is way off. WINDYCITYJOHN400
Well pictures are worth a thousand words, and I know how you hate when I rant....so... I figured that with all the people posting that Matt should work on better fitment. A recent picture of some brand new pipes actually mounted on a bike might just be relevant. The fact that the guy is more unhappy with the way the CPI's fit should be a pretty strong point.

I figured that with all the people posting that Matt should work on better fitment. A recent picture of some brand new pipes actually mounted on a bike might just be relevant. The fact that the guy is more unhappy with the way the CPI's fit should be a pretty strong point. So, one case of CPI not fitting well is a strong argument that the Shearer's do? I think not. We've been going through this for a year now. Maybe we should start a list of just forum members who have had issues with their Shearer's not fitting properly.. Then, let's guesstimate all the people not on the forum that have had issues.. This shit isn't made up. I never said other pipe companies didn't have an occasional or frequent fitment issue for that matter. My whole point is that the leading pipe producer has a terrible fit and finish problem. That's it. That's my WHOLE point. I think it should be addressed. I think he should fix it instead of turning his nose up JUST LIKE TRINITY did. I find it ironic that you adamantly knock Trinity for their horrible customer service issues, yet you defend Shearer. Both successful companies, both poorly operated, who send out products that are KNOWN to be wrong, yet refuse to do NOTHING about it. You can start a new forum with Windy...See how that goes. You know in some since I agree with your statement about only posting when shearer is mentioned, however I think most of the reason you deleted only my posts is you got what you deserve and that is served. You had nothing to say. So you did the easy thing and deleted all of my posts.. That is my opinion and Im sticking with it lol. It just would not be as much fun with out you so Im not going anywhere unless you kick me to the curb Ive posted on more than just the shearer vs sniper threads but to each their own. It always seems like I just get absolutely jumped when ever I try to defend Matt in any way especially from you locogato11283. I can start out being perfectly civil and the next thing I know its world war 3 with locogato again because I said something positive on behalf of shearer pipes. My question for you is why is it always like that with you? Whats funny is usually its only me and a handful of other shearer nut swingers that have the balls to stand up and say something against you and like 50 others standing for snipers. Yet at the end of the day it seems like you and the 50 others have a hell of a time dealing with just me and like 3 other people. I know I have said some pointless shit to you and you also to me so why the fuck are mine the only ones worthy of being deleted? Really deleted lol? I think sometimes you bring up valid points on my behalf, but most of the time I feel like your taking shots at me because I kind of spoil your sniper threads I guess. I don't know what is it? Don't tell me that its because it was stupid blah blah blah You and I both know you have also said some stupid shit along side me, So really what was your motive???
