Binky250
zero up and down and minimal side to side. thanks for quick response. my left rod is moving about 1/8 of an inch back and forth from center. right rod a hair tighter almost unnoticeable difference. i am measuring this at top of the rod, it is a bit tighter at bottem but can't get in to really measure exactly. could this looseness cause piston damage? also if you happen to know, about how much it should cost to get stock bottom end redone please let me know. thanks

Paulie B
This is how I check my rod bearings. This works for both the upper and lower. Pull your rod all the way to TDC. Wack it with the palm of your hand. If you hear a 'tink' then it's time for a rebuild. Edited July 15, 2012 by Paulie B
