Recommended Posts

So im new to banshees and two strokes all together.

i just bought my first one and i love it.

id like to know a little about my set up and what i should do next/what i have already.

1999 banshee

toomey t-5s

k&n pods off carbs

pro design cool head

19cc domes

fresh top end with wiseco .40 over pistons

boost bottle

v force reeds

jetted at 320

the guy says its -1 tooth on front sprocket?

skat trak 8 paddles dune runner fronts

everything else is stock.

........................................................

i want to keep my bike as reliable as possible while still being as fast as possible and not spend too much (im a college student)

is this a good set up for dune riding and casual hill shooting?

what should i change or do next?

any suggestions advice or pointers would be much appreciated!

Leave it alone and ride it for a while and enjoy.

Read up on plug chops and do a few. Don't trust that the last guy had the jetting right. Don't do any mods or building till your competent at carb tuning or your hate yourself for it later.

The jetting and exhaust forum! If you want you can search too, however the search function sucks here. Go on google, type jetting a carb then put banshee after. A bunch of stuff from bansheehq should show up.

i appreciate it. yea i noticed my bike running different at different elevations. i ride a lot at sand mtn NV in the high desert and then go once a year out to winchester bay OR at sea level. so i need to get jetting dialed in before i go to each place. i was running 320 at sea level and it seemed to run awesome. ive yet to dial it in for sand mtn.
