plugged silencers cause bog?

Recommended Posts

Ok I just got a blown up shee for cheap, got it all rebuilt and and can't get it to rev out seems like its too rich but it can't be. Its all stock, 200 mains Uni filter w no air no box lid etc, 80.degrees, 700ft. If I shake.the silencers I can hear the piston skirts that broke off... This might be a long shot but if the silencer tubes are plugged w the skirt pieces would it run like its rich or,have a bog about half throttle and up?

well, if you put the new motor back together and put the pipes back on with pieces of motor still in them, theres a good chance the pieces got back into you new motor. i would at least pull the pipes to get all the crap out, and while there off look through the exhaust port for damage.

X2 on this and also take apart the silencers, clean everything out and repack them. And yes you might be lean with no airbox and only 200 mains. Bump up your mains a couple of sizes and you might even try a 27.5 pilot also, but the stock 25 might be okay.
