BansheeBoy347 Posted July 5, 2012 Report Posted July 5, 2012 I just bought a 04 Chevy silverado and wanted to lower the back of the truck to level it out. But don't really know how to and wondered if anybody here knows anything about them. And its a 2wd truck, I also wondered if somebody could give me some tips on which exhaust is good for the truck. Any help is appreciated. Quote
Finch Posted July 5, 2012 Report Posted July 5, 2012 1/2 yard of gravel levels mine out . Most leveling kits or the good ole hockey puck trick brings up the front to match the back. Quote
5150banshee Posted July 5, 2012 Report Posted July 5, 2012 U need 2" lowering shackles for the rear they replace the ones on the rear of the leaf spring and I have always had good luck with flow master 40 series with a 3" pipe... Shackles run u about 60 bucks and about a hour to install. Quote
BansheeBoy347 Posted July 6, 2012 Author Report Posted July 6, 2012 Ok sounds good I will have to order them, and thanks for the help. Quote
knightracer_08 Posted July 18, 2012 Report Posted July 18, 2012 I bought a 3" tail pipe and the cheapest 3" magna flow muffler and then my shop just made a 2 3/4" to 3" adapter. we cut the original pipe a couple inches infront of the original muffler and welded it all in, sounds awesome and only cost about 300 to do it. But I would go with magna flow either way, they have awesome quality and sound, not as loud as others though. Quote
