Somedumbguy
I just moved from Oregon to Northern New Mexico. Went from About 1000ft to 6000ft and now after i run WOT it starts missing.. It has bogged out and died a couple times now! I let it sit and it would start back up..but still misses .. I let it sit for a while then go putt around with the kids and runs fine at low rpm's.. I have 310 mains with stock pilot ,needle on 3rd clip.. airscrew 1 1/2 turns out.. It has no air box lid with a pro flow adaptor pro design foam filter and toomey T-5's.. Stock internals.. emergency brake and tors removed..Kinda seems like it runs outta gas.. Not sure! Gonna ride it and turn the gas off atfer it dies and pull the bowls to see if they have fuel tomorrow.. any other suggestions would be great! Thanks! Dixie normus
very simple.. with the elevation change you are now running it too lean up top.. is it popping?? you are lucky you havnt melted a piston yet.. start with putting a bigger main jet in the carbs
Starwriter
very simple.. with the elevation change you are now running it too lean up top.. is it popping?? you are lucky you havnt melted a piston yet.. start with putting a bigger main jet in the carbs Assbackwards. Going up in elevation, air is less dense, and requires less fuel.
Dixie normus
shit.. i thought it said 600ft.. not 6000... yes.. if you went up 5000ft you are likely jetted very rich..

bikerjon
simple rule of thumb....go down one jet size for every 2000' in elevation.
Somedumbguy
I droped it from a 310 to a 280 and it seems to like that. I also found the orange wire that runs to coil was touching against my exhaust and was melted a tade with exsposed wire showing.. {Tried to reroute wires to hide them... } Fixed that and now she is screaming again
Jereme6655
That orange wire you are talking about is the wire for the coil.....if it grounds itself out against metal it will cause your bike to shut down.....basically it created an accidental kill switch
