need serious help with jetting

Recommended Posts

i need help guys. ive searched some of the how tos and didnt find any real help. i have a 01 banshee that is 20 over stock, fmf sst pipes and silenciers with a k&n air filter with a pro flow addapter. im in need of some jetting help. I live in south east iowa and tryn to jet my banshee to run for the 80 to 95 degree weather. i just bought the machine and it had no air lid and was low compression. I rebuilt the motor, put the air lid and snorkle back on and rebuilt the carbs. I need the lid and snorkle cuz i run the creek around here and has some water in it so i wanna be on the safe side of things. well right now ive got 25 pilots in it, 1.5 turns out on the screws, ive got 200 mains in it and just moved the clip to the secound from the top of the stock needle. i have a nice idle, a bog in the mid range and runs out hard in the top end. im running a 32:1 ratio with 92 octane gas. i tried 230 mains but that was too much it bogged bad. does this sound about right for the set up im runnig? also its ngk br8es plugs in it. any ideas also on how to check the jetting to make sure its not lean?

if your plug are white its lean.your wanting a nice allmost cardboard brown color.if your bogging in the mid try to richin up the needle by raising it a step or two. also there's a thread in the jetting section http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=99361 take a peek there for somone with close mods and altitude . goodluck
