Jetting at 8000 to 9000 feet?

Recommended Posts

I am having some problems getting my bike jetted correctly. It’s a 2001 with stock carbs, T5s, no air box and K&N's. It has a cool head and a White boost bottle. I ride at 8000 to 9000 feet. My first trip out with this bike was at 9000 feet and it was running hot and puking some coolant. It ran ok, just a little gutless. WOT had a little miss and a bad low end bog. I am looking for a baseline on the carbs. What mains and pilots. How much on the screw and were to start on the clip. This is my first Banshee and I would really appreciate some direction. Thanks.

need to know temps and what jets you running now? for 80-90 degrees at 6000 with t5s and pods i have a 27.5 pilot and 290 mains needle one up from middle(lean) air screw 1.5.

so id try a 280 and start from there. mine runs good with a 25 or a 27.5 pilot but notice a lil better off throttle with the 27.5

I ride from 6000 to 10000 feet and mine is jetted tits on for 75-100 degrees...im running a 275 main, 27.5 pilot, clip in the middle and the air screw 2 turns out...most my riding is actually done around 8000-10000 feet, i just live at 6000. Basically same setup but my pipes are different. I run FMF Fatty Gold series with powercore 2 silencers, k&n no airbox lid, stock carbs.
