greasergroff
hey guys im getting ready to order new front tires 90x90x10 for my drag shee and really like the innova scooter slicks....not sure if any one heard of them or seen them before but i really think they will look sharp and easily handle the speed considering thier a racing slick.Any way while i was searching for the best price i came across a website that listed that slick in a 21x10.5x10, so i thought that would be a cool setup to try considering i run micky thompson jr drag slicks now, but not sure if any one has run this set up yet or if it would be safe? I ask because as i did more searching for the rear tires i found out thier for lawn and garden tractors so im sure speed rating on this tire is low but do u think it would be ok to run 1/4 mile? my jr drag tires are rated for 80mph and i run a little over 100 in the 1/4 and ive seen people runnuing golf cart tires and never heard or seen any fly off the wheel. Any info or ideas would be greatly appreciated.... and i know a lot of you guys are probably gonna say just get american racers or hoosires but i want to try somthing different.thanks
Tedder
Interesting find but I'd be really hesitant in running them. I do 1/4 mile also and have had thoughts of what a tire failure would be like as I passed through the traps on the big end...Not something I'd ever want to experience. Rotating mass? - They're heavy @ 15 lbs Per their description-Made to not damage the lawn. You can bet that compound wasn't formulated with our use in mind lol. Also got to wonder about quality control if designed for a mower going 3.5 mph. Hoosiers, American Racers and M/T's my not be DOT rated but their intended use in sprint cars, Jrs etc is known by the manufacturer and factored into construction. Stay safe. RadarRacing
They may also be very hard to balance. I have seen even atv tires that were very far off.
greasergroff
yeah i think im going to pass on the rears but will probably still run front scooter slicks. To be honest even running my m/t make me a bit nervous thier just so thin walled feels like they could just rip rite off the wheel. lowriderb
id trust the m/t or american racers on the rear before i trusted lawnmower tires..
