What size jets do i need?

Recommended Posts

Okay so i have a 2002 yamaha banshee with fmf fatty pipes powercore 2 silencers and a white brohers racing boost bottle. I recently picked it up and i dont think the guy has the correct size jets in it because it bogs when u give it throttle after idle but then it clears up and runs great. I was wondering if you guys might know what size jets a banshee with those mods should have. And what running the wrong size jets can do to your engine. Thank you.

Ditch the boost bottle for a stock cross over tube. They do nothing but crack your intake boots. I would try a 27.5 pilot, middle clip on the needle, and about a 280 main. Those are just what most people run though if you want to get right on with jetting we need your temperature and elevation. That should put you pretty close though.

Thanks and i dont wanna look like a dumbass but what do you mean by temperature and elevation and i dont relly wanna ditch the boost bottle because i like the throttle response. Would you have any idea as to why its boggy for a sec? thanks again I could post a video of what i mean by boggy if that would help you figure out what i mean.

The boost bottle does nothing. It's a gimmick. Ditch the boost bottle for a stock cross over tube. By elevation and temperature, he means, what is the elevation where you will be riding and what will the temperature be where you ride? Elevation and temp affect your jetting.
