New guy needs some help!

Recommended Posts

I got a 2001 Banshee that ran great for a week, then stopped dead. Locked up tight. I opened it up to find both the pistons busted all to hell and the cylinders badly scratched. The cylinders are now at 65.5mm so I don't think I can bore them out enough to save them. I don't have much $$$ to put in to it. So what is my next step to get it going cheap?

Thanks for helping !!

How much is "not much $$$"? If you think you're going to get this running reliably for $200, sorry, but it's not gonna happen. You definitely need to split the cases to get all the chunks out, and more than likely you're gonna need a new crank. If you don't have at least $700 to dump into it, there's no point in even taking it apart.

650$ shipped i have a mint hot rods crank and ported topend cylinders head everything complete compression is dead even at 148psi per cylinder. Parting a clean mx banshee now as we speak pm me

Wow! That sounds like a great deal. That would get the OP up and runnig with just having to buy seals and gaskets.
