willardwright59
elev and temp 320 seems big unless you close to sea level. sounds rich to me elevation is 1000' above sea level and temp 65-80 degrees. mod list is: dune/play port, pro flow filter and adapter (no airbox lid), pro lite pistons, 65mm bore, milled head for pump gas, vf3 reeds, +5 timing, bored stock carbs 28mm, pc pipes. Finch
id go down a size on your main and see what happens then work from there if it starts running better go till its ripping good then check to make sure your not to lean

willardwright59
kevin told me start with 330main and 25 pilot. i mean it was close, with the 320main my WOT run looks perfect. and i had a 27.5 pilot in it, it was worse.

bluebanshee98
willardwright... would you consider going with pods? i remember i had a bog when using the airbox with no lid on. went to pods and no more bog. no needle change and it cleaned up the bike alot
special06shee
if your bike runs great a wot then is not the main.. if you can run the quad around 1/4 and below the pilot is not the problem.. everthing in between is the needle!! this is the part of tuning that can be the most frusterating! if you stab the throttle and it does not take it id lower the clip a notch or two! if your not 100% sure if its a lean or a rich problem alway add more fuel first!! You should always err on the side of rich and go bigger on the jets first. If the problem gets worse, THEN go down. Raise your needle 2 clips and see if it goes totally to shit or if it gets better. Same thing with your air screw. I like to throw it to the complete opposite end of the spectrum with more fuel and see how it reacts. If it gets worse, then you know its a rich condition and you can start to lean it down after that. If it gets better, then you know you are going in the right direction. I've seen a lot of folks burn their shit down because they thought a lean bog was a rich condition. - Jared
