yzrmbsg
Either run it dry or pull the carbs and dump it out. Sent using Tapatalk!
rjdgriff
And you don't really want to run your carbs dry.
rjdgriff
Easiest way to get the gas out of the tank is to take the gas cap off and turn your shee upside down and shake all the gas out
yzrmbsg
And you don't really want to run your carbs dry. You have any reasoning behind that statement? Been doing it since my dad started teaching me at 3 and never had an issue. Sent using Tapatalk! Edited June 8, 2012 by yzrmbsg

Sent using Tapatalk! when the carbs sit dry sometimes the gaskets to the bowls dry and crack on you. i dunno if this is a problem with banshees but some of the older bikes it used to happen to. i never had a issue on the banshee tho and yes the cases have a drain in them, open the bowl drain and let it drain Edited June 8, 2012 by NetBSD

I would think that would have more to do with the environment and the elements as far as moisture/humidity, desert, shit like that, and for sitting too long maybe. Sent using Tapatalk! ClayAiken
Thanks guys i didnt think you wanted to run it dry because it created a lean condition right before it dies. I might just pull the carbs anyways. Good to know the cases have a drain cause when i wash it i try to tip it sideways.
Finch
my carbs have a hose coming off the drain on teh bottom just stick a flat head screw driver in and turn and opens it up and lets it all drain out or if ya got carbs like mine if ya turn the gas of they drain on there own after a few days haha

The result is to much friction and a stuck ring or worse
Strm Trpr
Idling the motor until it runs out of fuel is not going to hurt anything. Ever ride off and forget to turn your fuel on? I thought so. By emptying the float bowls before storing the bike you remove unwanted wear on the needle valve viton tip.
