Been having an argument with someone. The argument is that he has put toomey t5s on his bike and is riding it with stock filter and jetting.

I'm saying that it is bad for his bike and can't melt the pistons. He is saying it's ok to ride it like that.

Who is right?

At the moment is his bike running to lean/rich?

he is running lean. anytime u do a mod that makes more air flow u gotta go up in the jets ( more air needs more fuel). do him a favor. tell him to take the air box lid off, throw some 280 mains and 27.5 pilots in the carbs, throw on a aftermarket clamp on air filter and maybe even get a timing plate and put it at +4 and call it a day. if he refuses to listen then let him run it the way he wants and watch his engine blow down the road

Yeah he should be lean.... although running the lid on the air box might just save him....but if he ever opens the lid or gets better filters, he's done.

Help him find a nice long open stretch where he can open it up and pull 6th wide open for a bit....then he'll be hearing the "I told you so's" :jesterlaugh:
