DirtDiggler69
Ok , I have been reading older posts regarding the tether switch installation and I am just a bit confused on the wiring . It's a 2 wire normally open switch ( when the clip is pulled the switch closes ) . Of course it didn't come with instructions like it was supposed to but the description of the install is the short wire to ground and the long to the coil positive wire ( Orange I believe ) . I have ditched my run/stop switch and wired up my headlights to come on all the time . I understand that when the tether is tripped it opens the circuit to the coil and shunts it to ground . So the stock run/stop switch wires , currently they are spliced together . My key switch is deleted by splicing those 2 wires together . The Ground to the frame is easy to do , I get that part . How and where do I splice into the coil? Can someone fill in the gaps for me?

shanYE west
I used a scotch lock about 4" up from the coil.

yzrmbsg
One to ground and one to the black with white stripe wire, you want the mount part of the assembly to be wired to the ground, and the "plunger" connected to the black with white stripe wire.
